General Questions

What is ZuCamp?
Most simply put, ZuCamp is an online playground where children can come and play games, chat with friends and interact with exciting media.
Is ZuCamp safe?
Safety is one of ZuCamp's top priorities. In addition to some of world's most advanced chat filtration systems ZuCamp also employs a team of live moderators whose sole purpose is to keep ZuCampers safe.
I forgot my username and/or password- can you help me?
We can retrieve usernames if you email us your full name along with your account email address to support@zucamp.com. If you know your user name but have lost your password then we can re-set it for you here http://www.zucamp.com/login/forgot-password.
When I log-in to ZuCamp, all I see is a brown screen. What can I do about this?
Some ZuCampers may occasionally encounter a brown screen when they attempt to log-in to ZuCamp. Because we are in the beta-stage, also known as testing phase of ZuCamp, we are experiencing occasional server stability issues. Here is what we recommend if you are experiencing a brown screen:
1. Clear your computer's cache (also known as temporary internet files) and try logging in again. (Check out the FAQ question about clearing cache for more help!)
2. Try logging in again a few hours later, and if the problem is not resolved after 24 hours, let us know. Send us your username and we can dig in deeper.
When I try to log-in to ZuCamp, I enter my username and password, and get a pop-up box that says "That username and password is not recognized - please try again". Any suggestions?
Some ZuCampers may occasionally encounter log-in issues when they attempt to log-in to ZuCamp. Because we are in the beta-stage, also known as testing phase of ZuCamp, we are experiencing occasional server stability issues. Here is what we recommend if you are experiencing trouble logging in:

2. Try clearing your computer's cache (also known as temporary Internet files) and try logging in again. (refer to FAQ #7 or give us a shout and we'd be happy to walk you through this process)
3. Try logging in again a few hours later, and if the problem is not resolved after 24 hours, let us know. Send us your username and we can dig in deeper.
What are membership fees used for?
Your ZuCamp membership fees go first to make ZuCamp a safe and fun experience. However, something even more exciting happens when you purchase a ZuCamp membership... kids get to go to camp in the developing world. ZuCamp is owned by Children's Camps International, a non-profit organization that assists churches in the developing world to initiate effective, ongoing children's programs in their community. It's an exciting and transformational process. Because it only take $5 to sponsor a child to attend a 1 week day camp program and a weekly follow up program (kids club) all year long your membership could send several children to camp each year. Check out www.ccicamps.com for more details.
What is the connection between ZuCamp and Children's Camps International?
ZuCamp is owned by Children's Camps International, a non-profit organization that has been an innovator in Christian camping since 2003. What that means is all profits created by ZuCamp go directly to sponsor children in the developing world to attend local camping programs. The benefits of membership are amazing... a cool online camp experience for you and a life changing camp experience for children around the world!
What is your refund policy?
We are so confident that you will be thrilled with the content of ZuCamp and its missional cause that we offer you a 30 day money back guarantee. If you are dissatisfied with your ZuCamp experience please contact us at support@ZuCamp.com. We would be happy to give you a full refund!
The promo video on ZuCamp.com gets stuck before it is completed. What can I do?
It can happen that your flash player will believe it has completed loading the opening video if your computer temporarily looses connection to your ISP or your service slows significantly. This can be easily remedied by clearing your browser's cache and refreshing the ZuCamp page.
